Pharaoh in Noncompliance

Apr 11, 2017

Yesterday I mentioned that a further divine court action had to be done, but since I was writing in the morning, I did not yet know what it was. I had to wait until the afternoon when Brad came to the office, so that we could pray about it together. He too had gotten a similar notice, but the Father would not tell him separately either. We had to meet together to get the revelation.

Once we prayed together, the Father told us that Pharaoh/Esau/Babylon was in noncompliance with the ultimatum that issued the previous day. We went before the divine court again and read five Scriptures before issuing a declaration of judgment against them.

Genesis 27:40 KJV (Edom)

40 And by thy sword thou shalt live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass, when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

Esau-Edom was to serve Jacob-Israel, except for the time when “the dominion” was to be given back to Esau. Hence, during the past 69-70 years of Edom’s dominion, Jacob has been in compliance with the yoke that God has placed upon his neck. In other words, we have submitted to the divine judgment, but now, after Esau’s time has run its course, Esau refuses to comply with the reversal of the yoke.

Leviticus 26:13 (Egypt)

13 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you should not be their slaves, and I broke the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

Isaiah 10:27 (Egypt/Midian)

27 So it will be in that day, that his burden will be removed from your shoulders, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be broken because of the fatness [anointing].

Here Isaiah was referring to the story of Gideon and how the captivity/yoke of Midian had been broken or removed just as in the case of Egypt. Isaiah was saying that a future yoke would be broken as well. We see the same pattern in every case, each being a precedent for a future event.

Isaiah 58:6 (Slaveholders)

6 Is this not the fast which I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke?

It is the will of God to “break every yoke” in the end, In the short-term, of course, it is the will or judgment of God to put yokes upon those who have been sold into captivity (or slavery). But the purpose of slavery is to teach compliance and obedience, so that sinners can learn obedience. In the end, there is Jubilee which removes every yoke.

Hence, “the fast which I choose” is a reference to the Day of Atonement, which was the great Day of Fasting in Israel. The prophet says that God is more interested in the Jubilee than in the Day of Atonement. In other words, the purpose of the Day of Atonement is to bring us to the Jubilee.

Jeremiah 28:2 (Babylon)

2 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, “I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.”

This prophecy was actually given by Hananiah, the prophet who did not know the will of God and did not understand timing. He misapplied the prophecy, thinking that Judah would avoid going into the Babylonian captivity. His prophecy was true in the long run, but only after Judah had spent 70 years in captivity.

We went into captivity to Mystery Babylon in 1913-14 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act. In 1947-48 many church prophets saw the establishment of the Israeli state as the formation of the Kingdom of God. They thought that the “rapture” would occur within 3½ or 7 years, and when war broke out, they saw this as “the tribulation.” But the war ended, the Kingdom did not appear, nor did the “rapture” occur. Those prophets—even those of the Latter Rain Movement— were blind to the story of Esau and did not understand timing.

Hence, Hananiah’s prophecy was partially true. God did indeed break the yoke of the king of Babylon, but not until 70 years of captivity had passed. What Hananiah prophesied was true, but he lacked the revelation of timing. The same is true with many prophets today, and hence, their prophecies contradict those who follow in Jeremiah’s footsteps.

Esau Proves Himself Unworthy

In 1947-48 the final phase of captivity began. It was the Esau-Edom phase, the toenails on the toes on the feet on the legs of iron. It was like the day that Esau killed Nimrod, king of Babylon, and usurped his garments (identity/power).

Britain in that time represented Jacob turning over the birthright to Esau. The British flag is called Union Jack. Jack is short for Jacob. Britain means “covenant land,” and Brit-ish is Hebrew for “covenant man.” Hence, justice was given to Esau for the sin of Jacob in stealing the birthright in an unlawful manner in Genesis 27. Just as Jacob stole Esau’s identity and took advantage of Isaac’s blindness, so also in 1947-48 Esau stole Jacob’s identity and took advantage of Isaac’s blindness (the blind church, including the Latter Rain Movement).

The Latter Rain Movement saw itself as running parallel to the Israeli state, because both came in 1948. They thought the Kingdom was coming in this way to both Jews and Gentiles, but they did not realize that their Dispensationalist views only served to rebuild the dividing wall that Paul said was abolished in Christ (Ephesians 2:14). By setting up the Jews as “chosen people” above other “gentile” believers, they perpetuated the wall that prevented the church from retaining the unity of the “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15).

This wall of division is an outgrowth of pride in one’s genealogy. It establishes the idea that the old man of flesh is chosen on account of his genealogical descent from Abraham. But all physical seed is from the old man, not the new man. The new man is begotten of God, not of men. The old man can never be more than an Ishmael, a child of the flesh, and it can never be an inheritor of the Kingdom. Ishmael must be “cast out” (Galatians 4:30). Only Isaac, who is the child of promise, can be the inheritor (Galatians 4:28; Romans 9:8).

This is foundational to the Gospel, because it is based on the distinction between the Old and New Covenants. Fleshly children are Old Covenant and have Hagar as their mother, as Paul tells us in Galatians 4:23, 24. Those begotten of the Spirit are New Covenant and have Sarah as their mother. Only Sarah’s children can inherit the Kingdom, so if one desires to be “chosen” as an inheritor of the Kingdom, one must be begotten of God. Fleshly begetting by one’s parents, even if descended from Abraham, can only produce another Ishmaelite—a child of the flesh.

So in 1948, when the Israeli state was established without laying Christ as its foundation, it was a fleshly kingdom, based upon the flesh. It was not the Kingdom of God that is prophesied to come. Yet because Esau had been wronged in Genesis 27, God caused Jacob to give back the birthright and the birthright name, Israel.

Esau has now had sufficient time to prove himself unworthy, so that God could strip him of the birthright in accordance with the law of first-born rights in Deuteronomy 21:15, 16, 17. It is only when a first-born son proves himself to be a stubborn and rebellious son that he can be deprived of his birthright (Deuteronomy 21:18-21).

More on April 12

The wave-sheaf offering was a commemoration of the Red Sea. It also signifies baptism, as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 10:1, 2. The Egyptians were baptized in the sea; the Israelites were baptized under the cloud. We ourselves are baptized into death and resurrection (Romans 6:4). Jesus rose from the dead on that day.

The Red Sea prophecy contains good news for the children of the promise, but bad news for the children of the flesh. Israel was delivered at the Red Sea, but the Egyptians were destroyed. Now we are looking at Passover and the wave-sheaf offering for 2017, but we have seen foundational patterns in previous years.

On April 12, 1985 we saw the good-news pattern of a financial breakthrough ($21,600). The following year, April 12, 1986, we saw the bad-news pattern of Red Thomas, who burned himself (hot water). You might say he had his Red Sea experience. Though he was mainly a type of King Saul, the fact that he was always called “Red” makes him a type of Edom, which means “red” and links him also to Pharaoh at the Red Sea.

It appears that we could see either or both of these patterns emerge tomorrow. Certainly, we ought to watch to see what happens, for if we are aware of the prophetic patterns of the past, and if we know the biblical stories, then we will be able to recognize what is happening today.
