Do Frogs Prophesy Earthquakes?
May 27, 2010
Frogs have shut down a main highway from Greece to Turkey, and there is some panic in Turkey as a result. They seem to remember the frogs that invaded China just before the big earthquake killed thousands in 2008.
Perhaps frogs can sense or hear the earth creaking or groaning just before a quake and come out of the waterways to protect themselves.
From a more prophetic standpoint, we see frogs in the plagues under Moses, but more important today is the prophecy in Rev. 16:12-14. This is about the sixth bowl of wine being poured out on the Euphrates River to prepare the way for the kings of the east. This produces three "frogs" like unclean spirits.
Darius the Mede diverted the River Euphrates into a reservoir in order to dry up the river going into Babylon. His troops entered the city on dry ground.
Perhaps this "frog" incident is a sign of Rev. 16:12-14 and foreshadows the fall of Babylon and/or the final war in the Middle East.
