I wish I had said that

Jan 15, 2009

As an addendum to yesterday's blog about The Overcomer Mission, I was made aware of a quotation from George MacDonald, who wrote more than a century ago. He was C.S. Lewis' mentor, and he wrote books on the Restoration of All Things. The following quotation ( from ) expresses the difference between the law being imposed upon us and the law being written in our heart. He wrote this:

“The Kingdom of Heaven is not come, even when God’s will is our law.  It is come when God’s will is our will.  While God’s will is our law, we are but a kind of noble slaves.  When his will is our will, we are free children.”
