The Possibilities of an Israeli Attack on Iran
Nov 20, 2008
The news media sees the election of Obama as diminishing the likelihood of an Israeli or American attack upon Iran's nuclear facilities.
That could mean, of course, that the Israelis see the next two months as a serious window of opportunity to make such a strike. It would probably be carried out as an Israeli attack, with the planes landing on American aircraft carriers or being refueled in the air by American planes.
Now that the military base in Georgia (south of Russia) is out of commission--thanks to Russia last summer--it makes an attack on Iran more difficult. But not impossible.
